Building the record from the ground up: the beat, arrangement, sound selection, and recording direction — shaping the song's feel and structure before it ever gets to the mix.

I bring your separate tracks together into one finished record — setting levels so every part is heard, panning sounds across the stereo field to open up space, and shaping tones with EQ so the whole song stays balanced, clear, and distinct.

Once the mix is done, this is the last step before it goes out. I polish the finished record and get it ready to release — so it sounds full and consistent whether it's playing on big speakers, earbuds, or in the car, and holds up across streaming and every format after that.

About Jerry D
DJ. Producer. Mix Engineer. Still in the lab — for decades.
Jerry Dalalo — jerrydmixedit — is a DJ, mix engineer, and producer from San Jose, California. He works independently under the jerrydmixedit name and records at Tone Freq Studios in San Jose.
He came up as Da Hermit, DJing clubs and college radio, then as the DJ for Insolence, the reggae metal band that signed to Maverick Records in 2000. Across Poisonous Philosophy, Revolution, Stand Strong, and Audio War — which he produced — his scratches, samples, and production became part of the band's sound. His approach to engineering and producing was shaped in the studio, working with producers Sylvia Massy and Todd Ray, and engineer Peter Stanley.
Sticky Lab Studios started in a family room at his mom's house in Santa Clara in the late '90s. It grew into a commercial studio and ran in Cannery Park until 2018. Today, as jerrydmixedit, he works out of Tone Freq Studios and his own private studio — recording, producing, mixing, and mastering records for independent artists and bands — Hip-Hop, Reggae, hardcore, rock, and metal.
Outside the studio, Jerry D serves as A&R for Matism Records, building the label’s roster. He also works in media operations at NBC Bay Area (KNTV), where he was a 2023 San Francisco / Northern California Emmy nominee for Breaking / Spot News coverage.
